About OUR FIRELIGHTERS

Our firelighters are a unique, sustainable product handmade entirely from reclaimed materials: waste wax and wick off-cuts from our candle-making process, sawdust from local cabinetmakers, and wood chips from a nearby sawmill.

Designed with both function and the environment in mind, our firelighters are a testament to resourcefulness and creativity. By repurposing materials that would otherwise go to waste, we offer a product that not only serves its purpose effectively but also contributes to a greener planet.

Each firelighter burns for approximately 15 minutes, producing flames at least three times larger than typical firelighters. They burn cleanly with minimal black smoke or paraffin smell.

A PRODUCT WITH A STORY PLUS PURPOSE

Professionally packaged in a handy resealable, structured kraft paper bag, which merchandises well, our firelighters make an excellent gift for entertainers. Whether as a host or hostess gift, part of a gift hamper, for client or corporate gifts, as stocking fillers and more, they are always a talking point.

To further minimise their carbon footprint, we brand the packaging in-house using ink stamps instead of printed labels. The instructions and caution leaflet inside each pack is printed on newsprint by our local newspaper, Southern Post, using their vintage Heidelberg press. This adds to the old-time feel and the unique story of the region they come from.
